The feds mull how to handle added sugars

“The FDA on Monday held a five-hour virtual public meeting that basically posed the questions: How should the federal government best help American consumers cut back on added sugars?

The consensus was pretty clear: American are consuming too much added sugars… On the flip side, I didn’t hear any discussion of the fact that added sugars consumption in the U.S. has declined over the last two decades while diet related disease rates have continues to climb (as Courtney Gaine, president and CEO of the Sugar Association recently noted in a column)…”
