Intern Introduction: Monica Rivet

Monica is a Louisiana native, studying public relations and business at LSU. As our Digital Marketing and Communications Intern, she is excited to be a part of the Sugar Association’s team and contribute to the voice of this sweet industry!

Monica is from Rosedale, Louisiana, where her family has farmed sugar cane for over three generations. She is a rising senior at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she studies public relations and business. Monica has a growing passion for PR and enjoys bringing value and authenticity to brands. She is excited to share her skills with the Sugar Association and pick up as many new ones as she can during her time as an intern.

As the Digital Marketing and Communications intern, Monica is committed to the cause of telling sugar’s story and finding creative ways to reach our audiences through social media content, website content, and other digital communication assets. Over the course of her internship, she will gain valuable experience in her field of study, as well as insight to the Sugar Association’s communication strategies. Monica juggles a variety of digital marketing and communications tasks. She enjoys this aspect of her internship because each day she is able to work on something new and get involved with various projects.

When she is not working or in class, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with her friends, cheering on the Tigers, working out, traveling, and jumping at any opportunity to embrace her creativity.
